The Saga of the First BWAAAHMMM

Recommended Posts

Last week, Hans Zimmer claimed he created the first instance of BWAAAHMMM on the Inception trailer and he was starting to get annoyed at all the various ripoffs that are now common-place.

IndieWire just published a piece exploring how the BWAAAHMMMM came to be. (newsflash: Hans Zimmer is taking too much credit for himself)

Numbers: Well, one day he's got this piece of Zimmer...

Tele: It was Zarin.

Numbers: Whatever.

Tele: It was Zarin.

Numbers: Look, this is my story, okay?

Tele: Then tell it right, Numbers. Zimmer is a composer, Zarin is a sound designer.

Numbers: So anyway, he's got this music out in the water, and he's listening to it on his headsets, and he's just happy as a clam. And then all hell breaks loose.
