Wednesday Numbers: Catching Fire 20.7m, Frozen 15.2m, Thor 2.3m (yay) Smashing like a Wrecking Ball!

WOW CF has like a 60% chance at beating IM3 (arbitrary number I know ). Get that money CF!!!!! I loved IM3, but it would be awesome to see a 2D film with a female lead win the year! 

 

Even though I don't think it's very likely, I am crossing all my fingers and all my toes and praying to my Katniss shrine that this happens. When was the last time a film that rested entirely on a female lead's shoulders topped the year's box office? It would make such an incredible statement that (hopefully) Hollywood studios won't be able to ignore.

Take off your blind HP fanboy goggles, and you can see that CF's run is objectively better than DH1's.

Except for the much better 2nd day drop and Tuesday bump.  Oh and the midnight:OD ratio.  Oh and the much higher grosses.  

 

I guess they weren't quite similar after all.

With each projection it keeps going up. We're in for one epic weekend. Frozen 90M+ 5-day and CF 110M+, just mind boggingly awesome.
