The perfect popcorn movie

It should have been the perfect popcorn movie, but it isn't due to its excesses. Story is too convoluted for its own good and the editing is super frenzied, and some of the bloat is annoying (what would make the sequels almost unwatchable), did we need all that pointless crap with the Defense Secretary and Magie? 

 

It's a very entertaining film, though. Characters are enjoyable, humor is effective, visuals are great and the music is pretty good. I love that it shows people being killed, it's not the usual victimless action that is present is so many blockbusters nowadays. 70/100

I like this movie a bit

I was surprised how bad this one was. I only remembered the second and a lot of the third being crap, but I rewatched it like a year ago and this one may be just as ugly, hate-filled and headache-inducing.
