CJohn
Django won't do half of Basterds here, but Impossible is a complete monster. I am still in shock.

kayumanggi
How is 500 M worldwide a lock? Might finish with 155 M - 165 M domestic. So 345 M - 335 M overseas? It has already opened in almost all markets. Made 42.9 M this weekend, for a total of 111.5 M overseas. So it's making 233.5 M more overseas after a 42.9 M weekend? fishstick
QT's DJANGO UNCHAINED was master of the Int'l market, grossing $42.9M this weekend. Total is now $111.5M. That`s an insane hold. It opened in 54 markets last week so it didn`t add more than 6 this week if it added any.
kayumanggi
DU has six more markets left. Making 500 M is 50/50, IMO. Could change next weekend. I'm intrigued. Want to see this now.
A Marvel Fanboy
Overally DU was down only 20% from last week same markets. You will see it flying past 300M OS. 500M is nothing but a lock.
Boxx93
Mathematically, it is possible for Django to cross 500WW, if you consider that dom its following closely the True Grit numbers and the Oscar buzz its getting right now, that and the crazy holds its having everywere overseas. But even if it doesnt reach it, it is still an insane number overseas for a western movie
kayumanggi
True. Amazing run, considering the R rating. 2012 has three rated-R movies that have made/making 400 M worldwide. Edited January 27, 2013 by kayumanggi

fishstick
$300 mio + $776 mio = 1,076 billion. I don`t see how Skyfall could miss passing Shriekapoo. It`s only $36 mio difference between them. It should happen next week. Edited January 27, 2013 by fishnets

baumer
So is BD2's run done? It hasn't been updated in about three weeks now.
CJohn
The Impossible is a beast, sells 60000 tickets over the weekend here. Django also strong with 55000 tickets sold (less than Basterds, but that was expected). Everything else dropped over 55% except SLP which had a 40% drop.
