  • Strong saturday for HT3 but not huge, that's look normal because of ppl won't rush to cinemas when they have winter holidays starting on monday. That said an OW arround 400k adm. looks likely. (2.1-2.3M USD)
  • Newcomers has better increase than holdover but all were affected by the upcoming holidays.
  • The Incredibles 2 cracked the top 20 attended movies with plenty of winter holidays incoming.

I2 locked reach Coco, and during next weekdays we will see if it's able yo reach TS3 or even Monsters University. So the chances are high.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember that Disney is one of the co-owners of a successful local film production company in Argentina. I just remembered the past years where the films of this local company enter the top grossers of the year. Although I can't really remember the name of the company.

I think you mean "Patagonik Film Group". House of the most succesful comedies in the country.

  • Huge OW for HT3 (Best for Sony / 43th all time / 19th Animated / 4th of 2018) yet it still being updated so it can even go a little higer, this is very entusiasthic with the Winter Holidays a total over 1.5M is locked with chances of 2M adm. Also it enjoyed a good result in revenue thanks the last increases of tkt price and a better ER, but in other moment this will mean a 2.5-3M USD.
  • Holdovers fell hard and that can be because the strong start of HT3 or also the lack of rush because the upcoming holidays.
  • Skyscraper had a solid start but I wes expecting something in the 120k~ adm. and Bañeros 5 as I expected bombed. I hope movies recover Bañeros 5 screens the soon as possible.

  • HT3 achieved it's 8th day in a row with 100k+ admissions making the longest streak of the year, yet it can make 1-5 days more. And today it may outsell the second entry of the franchise. And it will finish it's second weekend with an increase of 10-15%.
  • The Incredibles 2 became just the 11th movie ever to reach 3M admissions and with 8 days yet of winter holidays it will overtake Coco as the top attended movie of the year, also will outgross Toy Story 3 for the 2nd highest movie of Pixar and last but not least it will contend Monsters University for the most attended movie of the aclaimed studio.
  • JWFK locked it's path to 2M admissions and in Wednesday or Thursday it will outgross Jurassic World, heading to finish shy of the top 30 most attended movies.
  • With today admissions of Skyscraper, Dwayne Johnson will reach 2M admissions in the year as a leading star in 3 movies, showing that he is a major artist in the country (Jumanji 1.3M / Rampage 450k / Skyscraper 250k).
  • Re Loca, became the most attended Local Movie of the year beating "Animal", it's run is good but not remarkable. It will lose this spot with "Mi Obra Maestra" or "El Angel" during august.
  • The First Purge, is easily one of the high points of this July, it already outgrossed the previous most attended movie in the franchise by a solid 20%, but yet it has enought strenght to finish over 700k adm. a 40% increase over The Purge: Election Year.

@John Rambo MI5 opened on 3rd spot with 173k admissions back on in 2015's same weekend. This one have strong marketing so I expect opening on the same range, if it opens right on the same amount of adm. it will open above I2 adn below HT3, but it may open below I2 too.
