Life of Pi is selling out a 3D session at my local. On a Wednesday. At 9.30pm.Apart from Avatar, The Avengers and the RARE Tuesday school holidays, 3D sessions NEVER sellout.Not even DH2 sold out a 3D session!! This is big.

Its very very 3D orientated! Though Hugo did better with us. Our 3D usually doesn't sell out because its in our big VMAX cinemas.

That's a good start for LOP. Looks to be roughly equal to the 3 preview days plus Boxing Day for Les Mis. Should have at least a $5m weekend.

Wow. BD2 just fell off the face of the earth.Is it just me or is that a bit disappointing for TH.. I dunno.. I guess I was just expecting a bit more.And that's an excellent two-day total for LoP!! $4-5m WE?!

Rise of the Guardians has taken the route of every other mid-December Dreamworks release in Australia. It did well but got booted out of theatres within 2 weeks due to the crowded Boxing Day-New Year's period.
