did it make 1m in previews then ? because it's boxing day take was only 1.8 or 1.9m.

I think about 1.3. It had Saturday, Sunday and Christmas Day for previews. Rth has updated anyway. Edited by DeeCee

This weekend wasn't very helpful to making 50m but it didn't kill skyfall's chances either. Right now after the christmas/new years timeframe is over, skyfall looks to be above 46m and still making a reasonable amount at the box office. I think at least another 3m after the 7th weekend is possible putting it at or around the 50m mark. A little push by the studio could see this film make it past the mark.

I think Skyfall will finish with around 51m is my thoughts.

FYI - i'm starting to think The Hobbit will fall into the 45m to 50m range like so the LOTR films before it. a dissappointment but by no means a failure.

atm quick wkend rundown1-TH1 12m, 17.92-LM 5m, 8m3-WIR 4,6.44-PG 2.1 2.75-Sky 2, 43.96-ROTG 1.2 9.47-Quar 1.2, 1.7

LM should get to $20M. Skyfall needs good drops to get to $50M but it's already passed $1B WW. Very successful for both of them. WIR and Hobbit did well. PG did better than expected.

not too hard to make $50m, with the ticket price at vmax around 23.50$ incl booking feeaustralia has the highest ticket cinema prices in the world.i live in sydney where it is $23.50 to see a movie like skyfall on a proper size screen

We don't have the highest from memory, but it is pretty high (I think the average price is around $11?)
