Given 3D it probably should've opened a bit higher but I had a feeling it would be near Origins as I wasn't really feeling any hype for it.

No, Origins made 6.6m. It also opened on a Wednesday, so after the weekend it had almost 8m.FC made 4.7m. Edited July 29, 2013 by lab276

Thanks lab. That is kinda disappointing for Wolverine cause it also has 3D. But I guess coming off Origins, a drop is understandable.

I don't think having 3D gives this much advantage. It doesn't look like a movie that maximise the 3D effect. I expected it to do around 7mils though considering how much coverage this movie got before it's release.
