There's a new movie website linking all the theatres.

It's pretty basic. I had a survey to complete and got a free movie ticket. There's Jupiter Ascending covered.

 

Rth, do you know what intentions the theatre chains have with this website.  Will it remain basic screening times or will it morph into a Fandango like site?

Wow 4.1m for Kingsman.. where the hell did that come from?

 

Given i saw it on the weekend (@ the George St Cinemas in Sydney) - the cinema was suprisingly full... not surprised it made 4.1m over the weekend.

 

oh and awesome film.  give it a 9 / 10 ... had me in stitches...

Taken 3 and Hobbit are doing very well here, I see.  Even Birdman has a really healthy gross.  

Birdman had a reasonably wide release here.

 

The most interesting thing is the relative performance of The Theory of Everything and The Imitation Game here compared to the UK.  In the UK Theory looks like doing 1.5 times IG whereas it might only make one third of IG in Australia.
