God damn it! It looked so good though, at least to me.

I would say this is a textbook case of the marketing being much, much more creative then the movie.

I sort of liked the hair bit. Classic William Castle sleaze.

But never forget that their ability to make ANYTHING look good is why people in marketing and advertising pull down the big bucks.

And what is scary is that horror movie audiences are usually pretty forgiving of flaws...…...

Yeah, it seems something happened to this Grudge movie. I've seen some posters comparing the ending to The Devil Inside.

Some are also saying scenes from the trailer weren't in the movie.

Yeah....but you always hope it's that good. After all, the trailers are all we have to go by.

I guess I should have stuck with my initial feeling that the trailers looked awful so I thought it would do bad. But something got into me thinking it's the first horror film of the year and people may be interested. Boy was I wrong

I see the tradition of terrible horror movies being released the first week of January is continuing.

Escape Room was kinda awesome and fun tho.

5.35 od is not that bad. People were interested. With ok wom could have done 12.5 ow, 30 dom. Thought that would be about the floor. For a 10 prod budget movie it's at least something. But looking at 10 ow barely and mid-high teens dom.

Saw this tonight. Not nearly as bad as I was expecting. It was just a very different movie than what the trailer presented. It ultimately wasn't a conventional horror flick and that clearly turned a ton of people off. I'm honestly not sure what I just watched though.... Comments later.
