BSG: Congratulations to FILM!

SOTM 7:  Chas percentage question:

On going.  There could be a lot of lost points here as HTTYD is really going to screw people up. But there is still a while before this can be scored.

SOTM 5:  Biggest FUBAR questions....on going.  We should have an answer this weekend.

SOTM 6:  On going.  This too might be able to be answered very soon

SOTM 3:  What film will Neighbors finish higher than? It's really going to be a struggle to hit 150.  I guess the dollar theaters could get it there but it made 700K last weekend and its still 2.8 mill short.

SOTM 4:  This can be scored.  Have to double check and make sure it has not been scored yet.

Looking at some of the preseason questions,

Q5- Looks like Xmen will pass 45M within a week or so with one more good hold.

Q7- Even if TF4 is locked for 900M, people saying yes are now hoping on Apes or Guardians to hit 900M

Q8- A big opening for Tammy will lock this question as Yes

Q9- Ok Fault broke 100M but are there any more dramas out there left?

SOTM rests on whether the Earth to Echo 5 day can be lower than Blended's 14M 3 day and whether it's Wednesday will be less than 4.3M.

The 5 day opening could screw a lot of us.

Unless night shows pick up, Deliver Us From Evil is most likely going to end up below Earth to Echo for the Opening day and the Opening weekend.

Looks like Tammy might only be heading for TLAM2 numbers. (Too early to tell of course, but the opening day sure doesn't look promising.)

I'm pretty sure most people picked Tammy in their top 15, but probably at least a few people skipped it.

This ought to give a boost to Sex Tape. That comedy looks pretty straightforward, and that may appeal to some members of the GA. And HTTYD2 may open up some more space for Planes 2 too. I didn't have either Sex Tape or Planes 2 in my top 15, so I'm probably boned. Of course, the way this summer is going, maybe those 2 will flop too. Though you'd think at least one of them, if not both, will find the box office open enough for them to hit 100M.

On the plus side, Tammy not looking like a huge hit is probably good news for Edge Of Tomorrow making the top 15. EOT isn't a lock yet, but finishing above Tammy would seem to greatly increase it's odds. On the other hand, most people probably had both EOT and Tammy, so there won't be too much celebration.

Just looking at some random top 15's that people posted, there are a number of folks who still have a realistic shot at going 14/15 or even 15/15. (Though Tammy may eliminate a lot of people who were still harboring hopes of going 15/15.) Obviously the winner will be whoever does best from among that small group of players. There's no way the rest of us will be able to overcome the huge bonus points for getting that many correct.

Of course having searched through all the lists, it's still possible that Tammy will have a decent weekend and strong enough legs to get to a number like 80-90, which may get it into the top 15 for the summer anyways.

If only I had put Tammy in a million ways place

Well, we'll see about Tammy, it's final number is still up in the air.

But right now I'm thinking the people that said Planes/Sex Tape or maybe even Lucy might be in the best shape.

I've been beating this drum for months now. Sex Tape is going to breakout big time. It's the perfect film and the past 2 comedies have disappointed numbers wise. 50m+ opening, 200m finish. This years Ted.

It won't. Trust me on that. Sex Tape has an awesome awesome first hour, and the next 30 minutes are just so boring. The first hour is on par with some of the funnier comedies I have seen, especially a setpiece involving Rob Lowe. But the last 30 minutes or so bring all of the energy in the first hour to a screeching halt. Even a few surprises at the end cannot elevate it. The very end with the

reveal of what is on the sex tape

is funny enough.

10) Will Transformers open to more than 12 million in UK (only Sunday estimates count)

Baumer, TF4 only has previews starting Saturday. It's OW isn't until next weekend. Unless it has massive previews 12M isn't happening but combining everything, next weekend should be over $12M.
