zackzack
Yeah... it should do reasonably well in Asia where it is opening in earnest next week. Europe totally shunned this movie, but it is their loss. Europe still hasn't forgiven Tom Cruise for doing Valkyrie
zackzack
@giteshpandya 1m Monster debut in Korea for #EdgeOfTomorrow. $3.8M holiday WED incl sneaks, 4th best opening day in history. +70% vs MI4. bballman24
some Territories so far opened this weekend its #2 in FRA just behind Homosapoennes and just ahead of DOFL wk3 #1 in SK with a bullet over 3 times the #2 film . just the Thu result #1 in Russia & SG, #1/2 in NZ neck and neck with FIOS #2 in Australia(70% of Obliv OD) behind FIOS Thank you as always
Godzilla
I'm hoping it does 30M+ in Japan, Tom Cruise is big there. But Oblivion did do just 13M, but Oblivion did do just 9.7M in SK and EoT is going to pass that total by Saturday, IDK it's 50/50 now. Anything above $40 M in China is great. The movie has a shot at not flopping, that's for sure. Things are just so uncertain now, it can flop or do well........
zackzack
Is the movie really that good? This is a movie that makes or breaks based on its commercial hooks (those IMAX-size action scenes) rather than "something special" The reviews are very positive though. JCS
$33M OS heading into the weekend.
zackzack
I really want $100m DOM $400m WW I don't think this movie can hit that high. $250M OS is more like it with a high possibility of hitting $300M if Chinese audience likes it as much as the Koreans.
TLK
It looks like China is coming through so $350 million+ WW remains a possibility.
Crusader
I am very curious about the legs I mean I know China would do whatever it would do whether or not the movie was good but some of the underwhelming openings in Europe might be saved by some solid multipliers I've got nothing but full on support for this movie ... its probably the only summer movie where I actually care what it makes
