Pacific Rim was the best Summer blockbuster of last year pretty easily.

How are people capable of writing something like this? This should be considered a crime and ban worthy.

One silly moment of acting doesn't change my statement at all.

That was just representative of how awful that character in particular was. It felt like she was inserted into the film for no other reason than Nolan wanted to have Cottilard around, only to have her turn in a performance that didn't warrant her inclusion. She also ruined Bane by turning him from a dark reflection of Wayne/Batman into a weird goonish 'Hello, m'lady.' All he lacked was a neckbeard.

DOFP and Cap 2 shouldn't even be mentioned with TDK and Spider-Man 2.

Edit: Period.

Jay considering  we have simiar  tastes in greatness.  Im shocked you dont feel Cap2 and DOFP and  X2 deserve to be mentioned with those two giants. I do agree SM2 and TDK are the benchmarks for quality of the modern day SH Genre though. Without a doubt.

DOFP belongs in the top 5 superhero movies of all time along with TDK.

While Cap 2 is above average and misses the top 5, DOFP is among the best the genre has to offer.

All of you should read this article to understand why Michael Bay rules and Pacific Rim is not very good.

What does this even mean? Whatever it tried to be it worked and worked well as far as I'm concerned.

Im sorry but it wasn't a spy triller movie with Cap in the lead. It was a standard comic book film that brought nothing new to the genre. It was in my mind the exact definition of average.
