Yeah, I'm in the process of redoing my predictive model entirely. I think including the data from Clash of the Titans has hurt my accuracy. I'm tearing that out and sticking to the data from Furious 7 as my only foundational model.

I think the business will be good enough to lift Boss into first place only because I don't think anything will steam the bleeding from BVS.

So, I redid my model based only on F7's performance, and the day-to-day results were noticeably more accurate. However, the prediction for this weekend actually went up to $27.5 million, so I don't know what to think. I'll edit this post with an updated figure once Thursday's numbers come in. Maybe BvS will do better than most of us think?

I'm kind of anal about my calculations. I meant the exact numbers down to the dollar.

 

EDIT: My final projection is $26.5 million (a 48.5% drop).

Jungle Book will dominate the weekend. Expecting 75m+, might even reach 80m.

 

I'm predicting 20m at the moment for Barbershop 3. There's a lot of hype from the trailers but has the series run its course? The long gap between installments (especially when NO ONE remembers the 2nd one) might also hinder it.

 

Criminal has almost no buzz. 5m.
