I saw this today and I really liked it! One of my favorites of the year! The acting was great from all the main 5! I loved how real all the war action felt. The breakfast scene is one of my favorite scenes of the year. The last tank scene was a little all over the place and inconsistent, but it was so intense & heart pounding that I didn't care about that. I was on the edge of my seat during the whole scene.

I would give it an....

Very suspenseful and atmospheric with some really good performances, especially Shia's, and great cinematography, especially in the final battle. I just loved how the mood was completely changed by using the red tones opposite to the overall grey movie. However, the script brings it down a little bit. There were some pieces of really on-the-nose dialog and some things felt forced at times. I thought that the part when the girl sings at the dinner breakfast scene where they eat, which was a great scene otherwise by the way, could have been done much better and could have been more subtle.

But I liked it overall, not an Oscar worthy movie, except for some technical stuff, but a really good war movie. Comparing almost anything to SPR wouldn't be fair so I won't do it but this had some quality stuff and I'm very interested to see what Ayer can do with a better script aka a script he doesn't write himself.

So much wasted potential. As said before, moments of brilliance (mainly the tanks attacking the one Nazi tank and the breakfast scene) but everything else seemed added because there was no more story. I left wondering what the point of the movie was.

I thought it was fucking great. Goddamn, I have no idea how movies like Monuments Men and that new Jolie movie don't shoot on film for period pieces. They look so ugly and this movie is sooo damn pretty and cinematic. Every fucking shot is gorgeous.

How many WW2 movies have a straight up family dinner scene? I loved it. The acting all around is great. Lerman is a future movie star, kills it. Pitt just belongs in a WW2 movie. Shia, say what you want but the kid can fucking act.

Loved the way we saw the huge rounds. Looked like lasers, plus no holds back on the gore. It felt real. You can't tell where the mud starts and the body begins, heads getting blown off, limbs flying. Best WW2 movie in a long time.

Basically... I'm all over with this movie. First, I was looking forwards to it. Then I read the script and lost my faith. Then I watched the movie and I liked it. The script wasn't much changed, but it was pretty bad (some characters DID lack development and stuff like that - some things were unnecessary) but what saved this movie was the acting. The acting was top notch, and those actors did a lot with the little they've been given. Especially Brad Pitt, whose character was pretty bland in the script, but luckily he pulled it off the proper way and gave it SOMETHING. Lerman was great. Bernthal was annoying, which is like his trademark, so he was good. LeBouf was surprisingly good. The only one who seemed miscast was Pena, but he didn't have that much, so it was alright. I still liked most things in this movie (not a fan of gore porn, but I guess it could've been worse). If the characters were better written, it would've been a damn perfect movie.

Wow. I am amazed by how much I liked this. Pitt is good, as always, no surprise there, but Lerman... just wow. He was unbelivable. Great, great performance. And the score was so fitting.

Actually enjoyed it, up till the ending.

I have a hard time believing an immobile tank was able to hold off a whole company of guys with panzerfausts. The tank isn't moving at all, doesn't take an idiot to figure that out. They could flank it on both sides and hammer it, the machine gun on the front can't see the sides. Instead, they just stayed in the front, sigh. Fun? Sure. Silly? Yes. Realistic? Nope.

Very much liked the rest of the banter among the crewmen and the brutal scenes, like shooting the prisoner.

I found it to be really pedestrian.  It had it's moments but mostly I felt underwhelmed by it.  The characters didn't really connect with me.  Pitt and Lerman were good and LaBouef was maybe the best part of the movie but the other supporting cast seemed really off.  This is the first time I've seen Bernthal in a role that I thought he was wrong for.  He was one speed.  Angry, all the time and you really didn't undertstand why.  In Saving Private Ryan, which this was obviously modeled after, every character was interesting.  Even Vin Diesel, who was the least fleshed out of the crew, had his moment to shine.  But in Fury, I didn't really feel any emotional connection to Bernthal and Pena.  The best part of this film, imo, was the house scene with the two women, that is until the other three members of the crew showed up, then it just got stupid.

Fury is close to a good film, but it's also close to being a bad film, if that makes any sense.

this pretty much sums up my take except I don't think anyone was particularly good in the film.

the whole thing was just kind of there with no attachment and just went from scene to scene, except for the house part.

Well... Well. At first I wasn't fully in because any character not played by Logan Lerman or Shia LaBeouf was an unbearable asshole. Then the dinner scene happened and something changed in Pitt's character. From there in out the film is great
