I'm actually surprised Whiplash didn't do any better. They advertised the daylights out of it at all of the Landmark theaters here. It's been playing for months at one of them here.

Lego movie got completely snubbed man. -- Some more Oscar opinions: Why the hell is Meryl Streep nominated at all for into the woods? I haven't seen the movie, but a Disney musical? Really? Thats not an Oscar level movie. At all. There are so many other people deserve that nomination than her, bye. Also, I saw a post that was like "Sadly, Mockingjay part 1 was not nominated, but..." and listed off other noms. Like did you really think Mockingjay would get nominated? Sorry, but like??? One more thing: Apparently 93% of the Academy (the voters) are white, 73% are men. I love the Oscars, but literally the race ratio is literally disgusting.
