Ted 2 opened in Spain and Middle Eastern territories this weekend, grossing $3.6 million across 45 territories. The Seth McFarlane helmed sequel has grossed $79.8 million overseas and $160.3 million worldwide. Spain opened in second place with $1.1 million at 350 locations. If Ted 2 makes half of what the first Ted made in the remaining countries it'll be at about $235m worldwide.  My guess is it'll probably end up around 200-215.

Update: Ted 2 grossed an estimated $3.6 million (+2%) from 43 overseas territories this weekend. The disappointing sequel from Seth McFarlane is up to $85.4 million overseas and $166.5 million worldwide. France opened in second place with $2.1 million on 404 screens, 9% below Ted’s opening weekend. Ted 2 opens in Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Netherlands, Paraguay, and Uruguay next weekend and on August 28 in Japan.

Japan could do 10m i guess....the last one did really well and had amazing legs

Ted made $43 million in Japan. If this were to make as little as $10 million then that'd be disastrous.

It'll make less because of the exchange rate but it needs to make at least half.

It dropped more than half in a lot of markets plus JPY is really weak at the moment.

I won't be surprised if it only makes under 15M in Japan.

Ted 2 opened in 8 new territories this weekend and grossed $5.5 million (+53%) from 46 total overseas markets. Seth MacFarlane’s sequel has earned $92.6 million overseas and $173.7 million worldwide. The comedy opened on top in Belgium with $823K and the Netherlands with $1.1 million. Argentina bowed in second place with $530K, and Chile took third with $195K.

Ted 2 is still eking out some dough overseas, grossing $3.0 million (-46%) for a $98.4 million international total and a worldwide cume of $179.6 million. The R-rated sequel opened on top in Panama and Central America.
