kitik
Spongebob and Paddington both actually dropped on Tuesday, and yet despite that, Spongebob still had the biggest drop on Wednesday. It'll come in with great sound and fury, but then quickly enough, it'll be gone.
narniadis
Tuesday was an election day for most of the south - it could be wider spread or not but otherwise I think it plays a part. A lot of schools were out yesterday mitigating the Tuesday drop but exasperating the Wednesday drop. Kingsman to take #1 on Sunday and Monday, If you switch Kingsman with Spongebob I agree. In fact, I believe even with a massive drop Fifty Shades will be first on Sunday. Monday is Spongebob's day to take, tho. Edited February 12, 2015 by Inner CJohn
ecstasy
Wow look at AS go. Amazing run for this movie. Imitation Game has quietly crept up to $75m. Won't get to $100m but it is doing better than I thought it would with the slow start.
grim22
Unbroken really collapsed after the holidays. It earned 87M from Christmas to Jan 4th, and only a further 27M post that. Won't even get to 120M which looked like the worst case scenario after OW.
Mango
So AS should definitely still get to $350 million, right? Even if it has to crawl there I just want it to make it.

BoxOfficeFangrl
Lmao @ Cake. What a colossal failure on all fronts for Rachel Green. Not really. Sure, she didn't get the Oscar nom, but considering the overall quality of the movie, that she got as close as she did to the Academy Award nod is a win for her and will probably help her be more easily considered for serious roles in the future. Before Sandra Bullock won her Oscar, she was in the second Truman Capote movie that only made a million dollars or so, but it showed range beyond her rom-com roles. If Jen gets her Erin Brockovich/Blind Side in the next few years, she will be gunning for the Best Actress win IMO, and Cake will be part of that narrative.
