MrPink
Where do you guys see 50 shades ending? It won't make it to $200m but should end around Interstellar numbers more or less, imo. With 148 million coming off a 10.5 million weekend, I think it falls 20 million short of Interstellar's domestic take.

LOL Do you have Interstellar tagged for alerts or something? I guess you're right. It may not even make $170m if what you are saying is true.

Sir Tiki
Someone else interested in such details too? THR Movies @THRmovies 1 min1 minute ago How each state is (or isn't) working to woo feature production business away from Los Angeles http://thr.cm/lMuMQK Very interesting, I had no idea there were that many states that had film incentives. I saw today that the Massachusetts tax credit may be ending soon: https://www.bostonglobe.com/metro/2015/03/03/baker-seeks-kill-film-industry-tax-credit-boost-aid-for-low-wage-workers/TdXpbBG7rmuel5NK63dSHP/story.html I remember when I was living there how big a deal the tax credit was in the mid/late 2000s. They had plans on building a huge production center and everything to prepare for the influx of projects. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plymouth_Rock_Studios
terrestrial
Pinewood UK has the production workers that are really indepth educated/trained. As in up to 4th generation plaster makers.... (term?) That is something I guess some of the places who wanted to ~ jump-start in this or that region a film industry might have missing, an infrastructure of behind-the-scene workers and so on. Add the 25% they get and less rain as e.g. Vancover... , and I'm not at least surprised they love to film there.

Yeah, movie is going to finish quickly. Movie definitely blew it's wad opening weekend, theaters are going to pull out early, though I hear that doesn't actually work.
