Olive
Eh, JW has way more competition than AOU, its 3rd weekend will be against Hollywood Adventure, a local blockbuster could be shattering records. Even you said JW could do $250M, wouldn't that be enough to win this club?

Olive
Even you said JW could do $250M, wouldn't that be enough to win this club? Local protection period begins in JW 3rd week, it could lose screens dramatically, so Nothing is locked.

JennaJ
Well I hope it gets there! I'll stay in even if odds aren't in its favor. I have faith in this movie.
JohnnyGossamer
Of course we're in... Nice little lull at the box office. The last true event film of the summer blockbuster season was Ultron. San Andreas, Max, etc. will have run their course. Spy and Entourage are not competition. People are hunger for a dino burger. I see this one breaking out OS and DOM. $1B+ for JP4! Asyulus
So there will be 4 billion dollar movies in 2015? (or 5)
JennaJ
Forbes has an article about JW's prospects in China. Could anyone explain what does SARFT's blackout period mean for the movie? The article says it starts June 19th, Just 9 days after the movie opens. Does it just mean that no new International movies debut, or does it actually mean already released movies also lose most / all of their screens? Superme
Out . About 1.2~1.4 b in RMB As of now,JW is not very hot,far below AOU at the same time, and it's competition is fierce, screens can't be guaranteed

jiangsen
There is no way Jurassic World will make 2B RMB as stated by the Forbes article. Top ten imported films in China are all well established franchises with strong fan bases reaching far into the inner provinces which make up most of China's moviegoing crowd. Jurassic Park doesn't have that. I'd estimate 1.1B-1.3B at most.

bangbingchan
Even you said JW could do $250M, wouldn't that be enough to win this club?absolutely win.AoU is around $230-240M if JW do $250M,T-REX win BUT I dont think JW can reach 2B yuan.furious7 is phenomenal.dont see any other movie can reach 2B recently. JW will have much more tough competition (San Andreas 1st week,Saat po long2 2nd week,Hollywood Adventure 3rd week,AoU dont have any competition in two weeks) It do have a fan base.JP2 is the earliest foreign movie release in China, earlier than Titanic. The re-release of JP1 in 3D is around 56M.people can watch the old film everywhere on computer. The number is great.Though the competition is tough.JW still have a chance to win.
