So Paper Towns isnt TFIOS but it basically cost nothing to produce so they'll still make a pretty penny with it.

The  problem with Paper Towns is that i dont think the leads were charismatic enough.

They need to cast someone like Dylan O' Brien for "Looking for Alaska".

Dylan O' Brien would be horribly miscast

I haven't seem Paper Towns yet but Cara looks solid and Natt looks like he hits it out of the park

Forgive me, I must have missed the jokes about Stanley Kubrick in Paul Blart, the jokes about the socio-economic status of 1960s America...

Yeah because jokes about 1960s would fit in Paul Blart 2, and jokes about faking the moon landing have NEVER been done before <_<

Don't get me wrong, Minions is better than Paul Blart 2, but seeing that's the only positive thing I can say about it, it's definitely damning with faint praise.

MinaTakla, you have to take more into account than what movies are currently tracking similar to a movie you are trying to extrapolate out its ultimate performance. Minions trajectory is is decisively downward. One week it's tracking like Shreck 3 the next something different. It's not going to closely follow DM2, IMHO, because DM2 had awesome late legs due to better word of mouth than Minions and it wasn't as front loaded as Minions. IMHO, IO will more closely follow, and track slightly above DM2 for the rest of its run, because, 1. word of mouth is fantastic, and 2. It wasn't as front loaded as Minions first week and Toy Story first 2 weeks. Tracking slightly above DM2, which it currently is, puts it close to 360 if it continued that pattern for the rest of its run. I think we really need to wait another 10 days to see what movie Minions will most closely track similarly for the rest of its run. Who knows, it might stop falling and level off, but I can guarantee Universal is pleased, for the most part, with Minions performance. Talking to friends, who mostly consist of other parents with small kids like we have, Minions doesn't have good word of mouth. I haven't heard one of them say they liked it, and a few said they haven't seen it because they hadn't heard good things. Most loved IO, but interestingly our best friends didn't care for it. They felt it was too sad and their 7 year old boy got scared when the clown was lost forever. Lol. He is kind of a wuss!! Lol
