CJohn
Why doesn't this franchise die? Are people that desperate for MOAR ZOMBIES?
cozmeesah
This will show how it began. So it's not like that.
4815162342
I'll check it out. Worst case scenario is I lose 90 minutes tonight.
WrathOfHan
I'm somewhat excited, reviews are having me lower expectations like True Detective.
cozmeesah
I expect it'll be a little slow. They have to make us care about the characters first and there can't be zombies right off the bat.
4815162342
I expect it'll be a little slow. They have to make us care about the characters first and there can't be zombies right off the bat. You are correct, it is really taking its time. I do like the slow change of pace, setting everything up as things slowly fall apart. Edited August 24, 2015 by 4815162342
WrathOfHan
Good premiere, but man is the son annoying. He's even worse than Noah.
4815162342
And the premiere is over. It as fine, I like Kim Dickens and Cliff Curtis so I will keep watching. Definitely taking its time with the oncoming apocalypse, the premiere ends with the characters realizing that some weird, unnatural shit is starting to go down. 4815162342
Good premiere, but man is the son annoying. He's even worse than Noah. Yeah, the son is the weak link of the 4 main characters so far. Which is a nice change from the general trend of the teenage daughters being the annoying ones with all the problems.
zerbs
I was kind of annoyed at first but it's pretty interesting. I can see the perspective they are taking. I thought it was a decent first episode. The preview of the stuff they have coming up looks very interesting though.
4815162342
Fear the Walking Dead sets the record for largest cable tv premiere http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/fear-the-walking-dead-premiere-sets-all-time-cable-ratings-record-1201575876/ Nielsen estimates that the 90-minute debut of “Fear the Walking Dead” became the No. 1-rated cable series launch on record with 10.1 million viewers, including 6.3 million adults 18-49. In total viewers, “Fear” surpasses TNT’s “Raising the Bar” (7.7 million in 2008) as top dog among cable premieres. The previous record in the 18-49 demo was AMC’s “Better Call Saul” (4.4 million) earlier this year. In fact, AMC now has three of the top five cable launches of all time, with “Walking Dead” ranking fifth.
WrathOfHan
I thought it would do 7.0 in 18-49 but 6.3 is still great.
75Live
It was an OK pilot. I get where they are going so I will continue to watch. Should he good
ladyevenstar22
i thought this was an after show special for upcoming season premiere of the walking dead ! they couldnt come up with a better title ?
cozmeesah
It's a companion series and the branding of TWD is huge. Of course they'd use TWD in the title. At least it's not TWD: The Beginning or something equally vomit-inducing.
