So does anyone have a shot at 0.5A this year except IW? I mean American phenomenon (arguble) Black Panther came close to making just half of Avatar but ultimately fell short.

IW should do 1.01A

Now that DCEU's "Flashpoint" is about to be made, a soft reboot of the franchise is imminent. It also means a whole new cast. Here is my suggestion.

Wonder Woman: Celine Farach (She is a model and reminds me of Gal Gadot. Got dark hair and a fitting figure, the most well-known characteristics of Wonder Woman)

Those are the "most well-known characteristics of Wonder Woman" only if you are an overgrown, overhorned 12-year old DC fanboy.

Deadline are currently running down 2017s most profitable movies.

DCEU profitability with WW added in are as follows

Man of Steel: +$42.7M

Batman V Superman: +$105.7M

Suicide Squad: +$158.45M

Wonder Woman: +$252.9M

Justice League: -$60M

Total: +499.75M

They are only up to #6 for 2017, but Wonder Woman is listed @#6 and is the most profitable of all the 2017 SH movies, there is the possibilty that Logan could be tops, but seems unlikely.

#6: WW: +$252.9M

#7: SMH: +$200.1

#8: Thor R: +$174.2

#9: GotG2: +$154.7

#10: Get Out: $124.8

So you’re telling me WB canned Berg and Johns (who Toby Emmerich credited BY NAME for that movie’s success) from running DC Films after they put out the most profitable spandex movie of 2017?

:hahaha:

The top 5 are gonna be (in no particular order) -

TLJ

F8

BaTB

IT

Jumanji

Both IT and Jumanji have made far more money than Logan on smaller budgets so no way is Logan gonna be in top 5.

If I were to guess an order it will be something like

1) TLJ (highest grossing as well as highest gross in US which helps with profits)

2) BaTB (high dom gross plus lower budget than both F8 and TLJ by a big margin)

3) IT (Low budget)

4) Jumanji (good dom gross and low budget)

5) F8 (Higher budget than TLJ + low dom gross + high China gross means lower profits)

Edit - completely forgot about DM3 so there goes my whole list

^I would have thought also that not all of ThorRag  or JL's TV and DVD sales can be in yet.

If we go by pictures posted on Reddit JL sold only like 84 copies worldwide so that won’t change things too much.

Did I read your post right that JL lost money?

here we go again:

The issue is not that the DCU is losing money as a whole, but that it is really underperforming compared to what Warners expected.

That is the reason behind all the shakeups at DC Studios, and if it continues to underperform there will be more shakeup in the future.

Despicable me 3 made over 1 billion with a rumored 80m budget and a low above the line participation deal, not particularly China heavy, must be in that top 5, kind of a contender to the top 3 (jumanji dom is really juicy too).

Those estimate have all future non-merchandise revenues in mind (you will see TV money for Jumanji even if it is still in theater for example) not how much was made as of today.

Yes I just remembered it, I had totally forgotten about it.

So there are 6 contenders for the top 5 spots

TLJ

F8

BaTB

DM3

Jumanji

IT

I’m pretty sure even the lowest grossing of this bunch (IT) must have made more profit than Get Out at #10 so I wonder how the rankings will go. Perhaps they might not count TLJ/Jumanji since they came out so late?
