Worldwide actual for Doctor Strange:

Domestic:  $222,267,273    34.3%
Foreign:  $425,056,721    65.7%

Worldwide:  $647,323,994

I've just seen it too, cool. :D

It had a bit less than the estimates for dom was, but that counts this weekend for nearly all films (weather, sport and The Walking Dead were named as possible reasons), but more OS than at first reported too

Countdown for $650m ... not bad for a character 'only' fans of the animated TV-series and very few comic fans might have known beforehand (plus surprisingly many artists out of the painting ones)

A lot more than I had dared to hope for already... :D

BOM often adjusts OS 3 times over the weekend, especially if someone there seems to be interested into a film too (not all films get so many updates, like the w/e Moana (same distributor) got less often updated.

Strange... ;)

Next step: ~ $2.1m more, and it will surpassing a SW film's ww (even of that is not comparable based on different times)!

= $650m and reaching the top 100 for a time.

Rank Title Studio Worldwide Domestic / % Overseas / % Year^
101 Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones Fox $649.4 $310.7 47.8% $338.7 52.2% 2002^
102 Doctor Strange BV $647.3 $222.3 34.3% $425.1 65.7% 2016
103 Thor: The Dark World BV $644.6 $206.4 32.0% $438.2 68.0% 2013

Doctor Strange managed to avoid completely collapsing with the release of Rogue One. Now that we are entering the holidays, I think that $235M domestic is locked. Thor The Dark World made another $6.5M after a much smaller seventh Friday.

That leaves $8M or less for Japan in order for Strange to top Man of Steel.

and did it rather silent :)

Thursday it was still on #5 dom's daily actual, not bad IMHO. Looks like it will be on #9 for Friday, if there isn't a film missing / not reported an estimate.

Will pass the $650m ww mark too with the next BOM update.

675 is possible with Japan?

I have read $6m to $8m (seems a bit high with so much going on) for dom. Japan is usually not a strong MCU country, beside IM and former non MCU Spider-Man.

In China Cumberbatch has a LOT of female fans, what I think was the main reason for its sucess there (beside the visually and...) = I mean the extra.

If in Japan the females like him roo, maaayyyyybeeee it can earn more than the usual MCU.

A bit will drop in from OS elswhere, but not much.

Your idea needs $23m+ , lets say $10m for all beside Japan.

Mayyybeeee. But only if... I think. I dont know anything about the Japanese' POV about Cumberbatch.

$665m-$670m?

I really do not know
