Honestly a film I remember more for its soundtrack than the actual film itself.

This is the film that introduced me to Otis Redding. The movie itself is decent... pretty average 80s teen comedy/romantic fantasy. However I loved Jon Cryer's character. It was around this time that I wanted to be a combination of Ducky and David Addison (Bruce Willis in "Moonlighting")

Yeah Ducky completely steals the the movie as he is probably the most related character to everyone."Blaine?! his name is Blaine? That's a major appliance, not a name"Another good addition to what I call the Molly Ringwald trilogy.A-

John Hughes could have slapped his name on a porno in the 80's and it would have had a great story to it, he's just that gifted. Pretty in Pink has his stamp all over it. Yes, Ducky is the best part of the film but there is so much more to it than just his comedic performance. I love Pretty In Pink in some ways more than any other John Hughes film. It just has so much to say and is says it so poignantly. It's a story about rejection, wanting to be accepted, falling in love and then finding out that "Life's a bitch Duck...life's a bitch."9/10

Honestly , and not trying to sound too mucho or anything, but i found this film too "girly" , femine or whatever else you want to call it . One of the John Hughes films that i didn't like .
