It's releasing the same day as Zootopia and even targeting the same audience. Both movies will most likely be hurt by the clash.

March 2016 is ridiculous. This and whatever the next Detergent sequel is called also target the exact same audience.

This has a shot at 30M+ and Zootopia has a shot at 60M+ if released separately, as it is they will be hurt a bit. Warcraft is a wildcard, but a 50M OW looks good for it at the moment. Allegiant Part 1 really needs to get off its current date, it will be crushed in the spot as it is coming off a badly received movie which earned much less than the first one when accounting for the 3D and IMAX bump, and it won't have IMAX this time. KPF3 will look to match Home. Basically the first 3 weeks of March 2016 worthy scheduling as every movie is trying to get released before BvS almost surely has a 4200+ location release on Easter effectively killing screen space for most of the holdovers and taking IMAX and Large Format Screens from every movie (mostly Warcraft).

 

Looking at it, next year will somewhat follow this year's March 4 week stretch as well:

 

Cinderella - 70M (Zootopia and Peregrine)

Insurgent - 52M (Warcraft)

Home - 54M (KPF3)

Get Hard - 32M (Detergent next movie)

Furious 7 - 146M (BvS)

Warcraft is gonna tank DOM and end with 60-80M. OS should do ok with 220-250M.

Miss Peregrine will skew towards teens, I don't think children would get much out of it.

Curious to see how the do the movie. The book really felt like a cool, spooky atmospheric story that halfway through changed its mind about what kind of story it wanted to in hopes of being more conventional and approachable, which really hurt the story, imo.

All I know is Maze Runner had a little over 3,000 reviews on Amazon at the month of release while this has 4,500 before we even have a set pic. I know that's nothing to go on but it's all I've got.
