a2k
With a weekend of 4-5 POTC will be on 159-160 dom. And it's on 508+ OS. Last OS weekend was 19 so this one could be 8-10. Even without Japan it is looking at 700-705 ww : 170 dom + 530-535 os 750+ is more likely than ever with Japan not likely to fall below 45-50. And few posts earlier it was mentioned by several posters that it is not likely (althou I do hope they are wrong [emoji4]). Anyway with such good last weeks in DOM it should do clearly over $750 million.
ttr
the embarrassing performances of Transformers 5 and Cars 3 make Pirates look a bit better by comparison And this will do better than GOTG2 and WW OS-wise. Not that bad in the end.
a2k
175 dom + 535 OS-Japan + 65 Japan = 775 WW OS-Japan can squeeze 5 odd more. That would take it to 780. Then if Japan can bring in ~85, 800 WW. But feel 770+ is likely atm.
Finnick
POTC5 WITH $678M WW PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES: $517.8M Overseas Total / $677.8M Global Total #PiratesoftheCaribbean— BoxOffice (@BoxOffice) June 25, 2017
ThomasNicole
At this point, it could finish with $ 760 - 780m... Maybe $ 800m if Japan breakout (almost impossible, but who knows). It's a big success, and people seems to enjoy the movie, even in USA the legs have been much better than expected, so i think a 6th movie can be made and increase from DMTNT.

OS was 508.4m on Thu and now is 517.8m, so the weekend was 9.4m. Should add 15-20 more in the rest of the run in current markets for 533-538m OS-Japan. Dom is looking at ~172 (is on 160 after a 5.23 weekend). So 533-538 + 172 = 705-710 WW without Japan. 55-65 from Japan would give 760-775.

It's a long mark for sure, but I wouldn't say it's off the table yet with this opening so strong. And that opening number could go up further if the Sunday drop off is not as much. Should be interesting to watch. Without a doubt Pirates 5 is another winner for Disney. They've got to be pleased with it's staying power five movies in.

titanic2187
well, in the 1st glance, it looks like fantastic beast and where to find them, the opening figure looked meh, but late legs and some huge contributor of key territory like china and japan, save this POTC 5 from suffered the severe fatigue.... It's not longer a disappointment, far from flop, disney can really make 6th entry if they really want to challenge the word "fatigue"
