What Films used color ineffectively?

Recommended Posts

It wasn't obnoxious, it appeals to the masses.

Right, because if a lot of peope see something, it means that the film is doing it right. :rolleyes:Look up the epidemic of Orange/Blue Contrast in Modern Cinematography. Transformers 2 is one of the worst, if not the worst offender of its use.

Yeah, the Orange/Teal color-timing is waaay overdone, and pretty much every major film decides to go that route. In the future, you'll be able to peg a movie from the 2000s just from the damn color timing. Ironic that we now have tools that give filmmakers complete and precise control over every aspect of color, and the end result is a color palette reduced to two general tones.

Tron: Legacy and Transformers 2.

Tron tried to be all glow-in-the-dark and shizz, but it just failed. It was always too dark and they just needed to go out and play in the sun - felt so sorry for the characters - Shoulda gone to Specsavers -_-

And TF2, well Transformers:Revenge of the Orange much?
