Posted April 20, 2019 Share Posted April 20, 2019 Been doing some thinking and analyzing feedback I got from my animated films this year and have decided the respective tone I want for each of them. The Music In Me will be somewhat of a departure from my normal animated fare as I want more of a Coco like tone where although it has some humor, it is more focused on the music world and the themes, especially sisterhood. Sincerity and perhaps originality where probably the two greatest sins Medusa suffered from which I want to avoid. Pigeon 2 will be more or less the first, traditional animated cutesy comedy but with a bit more bite (not as in satirical but rather some of the themes). Super Mario Bros will naturally be comedic but not self referential as I feel for me, considering the immigration stance this movie takes, while they’ll naturally be comedy in this due to the world they are in, Mario needs sincerity in order for me to make something special. Caterina Murino (a bond girl in Casino Royale) could be the mother.
