If Kingsman actuals come in a little lower at 38.5 and IT goes a little higher at 30.5, then next weekend they could swap places. IT also has a shot at #1 spot next weekend.

A sequel opening a little higher than the predecessor is not doom.

Conj2 opened to 40+ compared to 42 of Conj1. It's not an apple to apple comparison but doom is a heavy word.

Kingsman is doing well.  2.5x multi off of 39M gets it to 97.5M, which would be a fine result given the budget.

WB projecting a 44% Sun drop for IT going by Deadline's breakdown : 9.1 + 13.4 + 7.5 = 30

40% Sun drop instead of 44% will give it 0.5m more for 30.5m weekend.

It's fine in and of itself, but in terms of sequel prospects, it really needs to make as much as it can over 100m because the 3rd is guaranteed to drop to a point where it might not really be worth it

Considering there's no news on 23JS despite the performance of 22JS, I doubt Kingsman3 gets made.

It doesn't need a sequel, and if it does get one, the budget can be dropped to, say, $60M and probably still profit.
