Michael Gary Scott
I say bardem cause of that first scene with bond. He is so great in that. After he resembles the joker but i loved that scene so thats why im hoping for a nom.

The Futurist
The De Niro snub at the Globes was a travesty. And for who ?Alan Arkin ???Give me a break ...Arkin was cute in Argo but nothing more .
baumer
I thought DeNiro got a GG nom? I think he's locked for an oscar nom, it's his best work since Goodfellas, imo.
Jack Nevada
Matthew McGonaughey deserves a nomination for Magic Mike

CoolioD1
I haven't seen Django yet but so far Phil Hoffman is the only contender in this category who's performance I thought was super Oscar worthy.
Jack Nevada
The guy playing adult Pi in Life of Pi was great, but unfortunately theres no chance of a nomination
fishstick
Matthew McGonaughey deserves a nomination for Magic Mikeyes he does. Over Arkin, DeNiro, Bardem for sure. Haven`t seen The Master so I can`t judge whether PSH is playing PSH or does something new with his role. But MM and DU boys should be on the shortlist. fishstick
I dont get the Bardem love. Nothing really amazing from him imo. Sheen was awesome.Sheen`s on Razzie longlist which is ridiculous because he was getting raves even from reviews that trashed BD2. So it`s just a stupid BD2 hate that swept those who were actually praised.
CoolioD1
McConaughey should be getting awards attention for Killer Joe. Now that was one helluva performance. I never knew he could be so unsettling.
Jack Nevada
Bardem does not deserve a nod for Skyfalk

Jack Nevada
I didnt like Bardem's villain in Skyfall. He wasnt that intimidating nor was he very funny outside his first scene.
4815162342
Bardem was good in Skyfall sure, but he had maybe 5 scenes of actual presence (his intro, the shooting "contest," his interrogation with M, his subway chat with James, and the Chapel confrontation with M) and a handful of scenes of him stalking and glaring. No way should he get an Oscar nod. Edited December 28, 2012 by 4815162342
Jack Nevada
Joel Grey had a very similar role in Cabaret as McGonaughey had in MM, and about as much screentime.. And Grey won an award. McGonaughey should get a nod
