SentryTrans
Why would you say May 5 is a good release date ?It is a Saturday, so a 2 days weekend even without Friday. And most important of all, that release date totally misses the Labor Day national holiday, which will seriously hurt its box office potential. And you still think 20M in 2 days can happen ? It will even barely crack 100M yuan the first weekend without Friday warming up.Date can't resolve anything.3D effects are more important than so-called good date. A Marvel Fanboy
Date can't resolve anything.3D effects are more important than so-called good date. No, a certain release date can sell or kill a movie in every markets. I assume it's just as important as its quality, which of course including the 3D effects. If you think the release date is not important, why the government always avoid releasing HLW films on any holidays and December and just keep delaying one hollywood movie after another ? Why the rubbish local movies never exchange their release dates with HLW ones ?I always hate the statements that Avatar benifits from its delay, Inception benifits from its delay, TF3 benifits from its delay, MI4 benifits from its delay and so on. That's totally bullshit. HLW movies can survive or break out despite their awful release dates, not to mention all the other disgusting government-made barriers, because they are much better and deserve break-outs, not because of the delay. A Marvel Fanboy
May 1 Golden Week was terrible in 2011.And that is the result of no HLW releases, just like what happened in the Golden October 1 Week.
A Marvel Fanboy
TA will take part in the 2nd Beijing International Film Festival. That's a good sign.Which doesnt necessarily means the government will take special care of TA. The Beijing International Film Festival just needs something big to decorate their face. Fake
Can anyone find the official international release dates page for The Avengers?
CJohn
There isn't. Only Paramount and Sony make pages like that. Your best choice is IMDb.

CJohn
Normal. All movies before The Avengers were from Paramount (except Hulk) and even this still uses the Paramount logo.

Rudolf
The Avengers was an ultra cool science fiction-spy TV series in the UK in the 60s. No wonder they had to change the name there.
