jb007
The Amazing Spiderman Takes Bumper Opening Friday 29th June 2012 11.30 IST Boxofficeindia.Com Trade Network The Amazing Spiderman took a bumper opening across India. The opening was lower in Punjab due to a Punjabi film but the rest of the country say a huge turnout. In terms of occupancies in the morning shows the film is on par or even better at places than the big non holiday Hindi openers like Rowdy Rathore and Ready. The film was expected to break opening records of all Hollywood releases in India but the way it has opened it could shatter all previous records. It will comfortably beat day one figures of films like 2012 and Mission Impossible 4. http://www.boxoffice...leid=4614&nCat= Edited June 29, 2012 by jb007

jb007
India always brings good news for hollywood films. True. Further, all three SM movies were huge blockbusters in India.TASM was expected to open huge and it seems to have surpassed even those lofty expectations. Fake
India always brings good news for hollywood films. And India is generally a very good indicator for all of Asia. As long as it doesn't fail miserably in Europe it has a good chance of reaching 1B mark.

pinocchio
So for Indians a man bitten by a spider is a relatable character, because they get always bitten by snakes? Right now, spiders have a rather bad image in India I guess: Spider invasion spooks Indian village http://www.mnn.com/e...-indian-village Or it was a Sony stunt to promote the movie?
