51% Mon-Mon drop for 12S (1.30/0.635)

 

Sun-Sun drops were great due to NFL deflating last Sunday and maybe moving some of the business to Monday. So Mon-Mon drops could be higher than expected.

With no posted budget how are we to gauge if 12 Strong is a hit or miss? Same for Hostiles. 

I forget how we determine that in cases with no posted budget.

12 Strong's budget was $35M...Hostiles budget was $50M (at least in Wiki, The Numbers, and other sources online:)...

The prod. budget for 12 Strong is around 30 million. P&A cost is not known. The movie was financed by Alcon Entertainment & Black Label Media. Warner Bros. will get a distribution fee. I have no idea on how much 12S needs to achieve in order for it be considered a success tho.

 

The net prod. budget for Hostiles is 39 million. But the movie was purchased by Entertainment Studios for 4 million. The P&A cost for the distributing studio was reported to be around 23 million. The 10 million+ OW ensured that the distributor studio was going to cover the minimum guarantee amount for the producers. The movie will probably leg it out to a decent final total. So at the end of the day, Hostiles will be regarded a big success for Entertainment Studios.
