YM!
The Scavenger Wars A unfortunately lackluster work by Cookie Pictures that aside from visual and good action scences, stinks more than Kira than the sewers. C- Spoiler Kidding of course, got to add something different than the old holy crap this sucked F times infinity or whatever. Naw I loved this movie. Like most of cookie’s production, The world building is excellent, awe inspiring visuals, fast paced but fun action scenes, memorable characters (loved T-Bot/Reese surprisingly (got a weird Rocket feel for the former and a R2-D2 feel from the other. The mains especially Wright, Henney and Lennix do well here), and the writing is top notch (the parallels here hit hard). I love this movie and want more. YM!
August:  Gamera: A pretty cool monster movie with pretty good visuals. B-  The Howling: An actually good werewolf movie although the third act is a little bit lackluster. B  Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad: A fun superhero film in the vine of Totally Tazed Teenage Aliens from Beverly Hills, elevated by a fun cast and rapid action. B+  The Life Of A Prophet: A nice little story about the life of Muhammad but I still feel it needed more. C+

C+ Â Â wait wait wait, hold up. Â Does the movie actually depict Muhammad in person as a character? Because if it does.....oh shit that studio and production team is going to be in trouble with a good bunch of people. 1
YM!
September  SWAT KATS 2: The Viper Strikes: My 🅱oi Bill Nye got a part in this. This sequel is fun, with high paced action sequences, a charismatic cast and solid animation. I think it’ll dominate until Pigeon but feels lacking otherwise. B  The Cycle Of The Werewolf: Another good werewolf movie. Keep it up guys. This has great scares and Wan delivers as usual with the horror movie. But sometimes structure gets a little bit awkward. B+  Doom: It’s an fun thriller with tons of gory action but the human characters often find themselves boring without demons to fight. C+  Cross Country The Rock and Steinfeld deliver in this fun but sometimes forgetable action movie. C+/B-  Fright Town: A quaint little thriller that amuses me just right with psychopaths getting their just desserts. C
Ezen Baklattan
A bit of a side note, I thought your avatar was from some vintage Hanna Barbera cartoon and not Johnny freaking Test.

Mr. TeacherMan is the most complex anime character.  Spoiler But if you’re asking, yes the avatar is ironic.

YM!
October Halloweentown Although sticking to the original, the remake is lovely with breathtaking stop motion and a fun enough ride. B  Fatal Rendezous: A solid and entertaining crime thriller although it feels ordinary is greatly amplified by exemplary performances by the main cast creating a good times at the theater. A-  Blood and Fur 3: Inglorious Paw-stards This is a fun satisfying and somewhat tiring way to end the furry trilogy. B+  Indigenous: A frankly boring film but is boosted by the Cinerama experience. C  Hope Fear Adventure An okay family adventure that’ll please the young ones. C+  Silent Hill: Innocence Lost: Holy shit. @Xillix this is best horror film I’ve read in CAYOM. The scares and suspense are done with precise precision. The leads are fantastic and this movie will do bonkers in October. YM!
November: The Chrysallids For every 12 Days Of Sodom or Redeeming Love, @Hiccup23 pulls a 56 Days Of Love or this out of his ass. This movie is excellent. The story and world building is superb. Some of the stuff is surprisingly relevant. The actors nail the performances and Jude Law does a great villain. Looking forward for our Grand Theft Auto teamup. A  Le Grand Ecran What was I watching again? D   The Meteor Manhunt Pretty trash but fun trash which tends to be the best kind. C  Bartimaeus and the Amulet Of Samarkand I have the same feelings when I read the orignal. This is a fun fantasy movie with most of the cast mainly Holland doing a lot of good work. However the movie’s main problem is Nathaniel comes across as too much of an asshat which kind of makes Nathaniel and Bartimaeus bonding seem artificial and some stuff is glossed over. B-  Mirror’s Edge: Cataclyst A pretty fun action sequel who’s ambition although doesn’t necessarily pay off is still worth it. B-  Street Sharks A solid superhero movie that’s both bonkers and tons of fun. The cast nails it and the action is on point even if the story is predictable. B+  The Raven Boys A solid but often lackluster young adult film with solid leads and it’s better than Uglies () C+  51 A fun little flick but it’s not memorable at all. YM!
The Prince Of Egypt A solid remake but has a lot of problems often feeling too close to the original. B- Spoiler Spoiler This is my favorite remake in CAYOM and one the best films of the years. Like most great remakes, it does something different while keep the soul of the original in fact. The cast does excellent work in here, I even like Huy’s change, the songs are captivating and I thought the relationship between Moses and Rameses is more fleshed out here than in the original. This movie is all I ever wanted in a remake. A+
