A classic Scott clickbait headline. It is true that Marvel’s cinematic universe concept is proving much harder to replicate than expected, with more failures than successes so far.

DCEU failed

Star Wars failed

Dark universe failed

Monsterverse failed

Conjuring failed cause it’s not even a cinematic universe. It’s just lame stories and the GA has no clue that they are connected.

There’s only one MCU! :Venom:

Eh he goes off the rails trying to support his blanket argument.  He's really picking and choosing and trying to re frame some movies to fit his theory.

Transformers failed because of repeated lack of quality not because they were planning a Bumblebee movie.   Hobbs & Shaw is a spin off of the FF universe the same way Bumbleee is - it's just spinning off a healthier one with stars .  Rogue One was as much a part of the SW expanded universe as Solo.  Wonder Woman is part of the DCEU and BP is part of the MCU - both introduced in previous films.  King Kong & Godzilla and the monster universe  does too count.  Etc Etc...

Will the I2 grosses for the IMAX double features tonight be included in the Thu preview numbers?

I would assume so.  They rolled in the Oceans 8 Wed previews with Thur Previews and then into Friday.

Will DP ever pass Solo in dailies? It always gets so close.

this weekend Solo looses it's premium screens and faces 1st huge competition. Next weekdays DP2 could be ahead of Solo I think.
