Likely got Zaslav'd shortly after the merger, but Warner only got around to officially undating it now. One of the few times I'll actually give Mr. Z props as the less shitty American remakes the better.

House Party, I think, might be headed to theaters. It's already been filmed and was dated for the 28th.

If this movie gets cancelled, fuck Zaslav and any executive involved in this.

It was less than a year out without a single shot ever being filmed or any casting. What do you think happened?

This would've been better than the original and would've given an amazing Asian action director the ability to direct on a Hollywood budget. Zaslav made the shitty decision here.

Maybe a October 2023 date? If this canceled I will protest at Zaslav house

There's been zero progress on it since last December. It's definitely on the Discovery backburner, if not quietly cancelled outright. A lot of projects like these tend to die once new management comes in.

Oh damn wtf, how did I not know Timo was attached to this??? He's one of the best new action directors (Night Comes For Us is excellent). I hope he gets another shot at big budget hollywood action if this does fall through.
