Bluebomb
Gonna need your help with this one guys. I'm planning on adding an opening weekend admissions section as well as an up-to-date total admissions figures to the table in the first post. Any and all help on this is much appreciated! pinocchio
I guess you find a lot of informations in the country charts of Insidekino.de (Besucher Wochenende):http://insidekino.de/BO.htmNice avatar, by the way...
Bluebomb
Thanks, pinocchio! Updated the table with more categories. If anyone can help me fill in the table, that would be great! Thanks.
lab276
I think for multiplier, you should go with admissions, not USD.
Bluebomb
Why is that?I prefer the multiplier to be used for gross because this is showing you how much the movie has made after its opening weekend. Another thing is that total admissions are hard to get because when a film drops out of the top 5/top 10 for the week, the box office industry for the particular country does not cover those below the threshold even if they are of blockbuster status. lab276
The dollar fluctuates, so it won't really be an accurate measure. BOM doesn't update either though, so it would still be as inaccurate. Maybe you could include both.

pinocchio
Intouchables in Germany made another 135'000 admissions last weekend (the 12th weekend) and should soon cross the 7.5 mio admissions mark. (DH 2 made 6.5 mio admissions.)
pinocchio
The Intouchables continued its unprecedented run this weekend with another $7.7 million from eight territories. Most notably, the movie debuted in second place in South Korea with just over $3 million including preview screenings. That's the first major non-European launch, and the strong figure is the latest indication that the French comedy/drama has truly universal appeal. So far, the movie has earned $291.7 million overseas, and The Weinstein Company has a New York/Los Angeles opening planned for May 25. pinocchio
Since the movie really seems to have universal, international appeal, a remake just for the US market makes less and less sense. Maybe it will get a wide release there, too?
IndustriousAngel
And the 291.7 million number doesn't even include all areas; Italy's, Netherlands and Austria's last weekend are still missing.
pinocchio
I guess 291 mio is the overall number. BOMs country breakdown is just incomplete.
pinocchio
Could you update the thread title, Bluebomb? thanks.

Bluebomb
This films run is amazingYeah, spectacular grosses from Europe. Let's see if it can break out in Taiwan, where A Simple Life (similar type of film) was just released.
pinocchio
It started very well in SK with 393'000 admissions (number two).I have no idea, however, what that means for the Asian market.
