pinocchio
Worldwide now according to BOM: 270 mio USD.
IndustriousAngel
The 270,9 is the Tuesday number where not every country was included, should be near 275 by now. On a completely different front, here in Austria Intouchables has finally overtaken "Puss in Boots" which was a real blockbuster here - in Germany, Belgium or France, PiB was no match at all. Look at PiB's international number and you see where this could lead - this should play very well to South American audiences too I guess. Jonwo
It'll be interesting how it does in English speaking countries as foreign language films tend to be niche. I think in the US, it'll probably get a limited release to test whether it can expand.
Fake
The success of Intouchables in Germany and now Italy makes me believe that the movies has sufficient cross-cultural appeal. So I think it can do well outside Europe, especially NA.
Jonwo
TBH any money it makes in the English language territories is just gravy, even if it did $10m in the US, that would be considered a success. Marketing is the key to make it successful in countries like the US, UK and Australia because it's not easy to sell a film that is not in English and will likely have subtitles. Only successful foreign films I can think is The Millenium Trilogy, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Amelie.
iceroll
Chinese movies were really popular in the early 2000s, http://boxofficemojo.com/genres/chart/?id=foreign.htmI wonder what happened? Why did they suddenly drop off? Nowadays Chinese movies are lucky to make 1m in the US.

Bluebomb
That is fantastic. Where is it headed in admissions?
IndustriousAngel
Intouchables has a nearly unique run everywhere, more or less making the same numbers every week (now in Italy flat for the 4th week). I guess that there are much more repeat viewings than usual.
