Although I would still say The Notebook is his biggest film, cultural impact wise. That one is loads of peoples all time favourite film. 

The Notebook even sold close to $100M worth of dvd/blu rays (not counting digital downloads), since 2005. An amazing feat for a movie that only grossed $81M in theaters.
