Y4 - The Oscar Nominations

Recommended Posts

So I've thinking a bit and I thought of something that would be really fun for the ceremony that I haven't seen done yet.

@4815162342 @Alpha @Blankments @Spagspiria @YourMother the Edgelord If you guys are up for it, I'll allow y'all to write your own acceptance speeches for the ensemble/directing/acting categories. This isn't required or anything, its entirely optional if you guys wish to do it. I just thought it'd be a fun alternative as opposed to me just writing a generic speech for them or what not. You guys can attach said acceptance speeches into the same thread you guys share your Oscar submissions/marketing material with me.

(also, since I'm controlling the ceremony, there won't be any stupid orchestra trying to play over the actors so make it as short or long as you guys wish 😉)

Also wanted to mention that I'm gonna try and schedule the ceremony so that any films you submit to me will tie into a category (or categories) that relate to the film.

For example: if you submit an teaser for an animated film, chances are it'll be presented before or after the award Best Animated Feature or the Best Voice Actor categories are presented.

So when are we supposed to send in ballots?

Good question.

Ballots will be due by December 8 by 11:59 pm CST

Any marketing material will be due by December 9 by 11:59 am CST. This will be a few hours before the ceremony is commenced.

Are we doing preferential ballots?

Also, since @Blankments brought this to my attention on Telegram, you can also do it for the best picture, screenwriting, original score, and original song categories as well (if you so choose).

I've counted 5 ballots so far (including my own).

I will say this, there's only been one category so far where the #1 pick has been consistent across all of the ballots.

Best Animated Feature or Best Visual Effects?
