Just now, Slambros said:

Spark: Beyond The Sky is a pretty deserving Cinematography winner imo; how many other films are using panoramic screening? Very innovative.

I mean I did two whole films in the format and neither got nominated but go on ;)

Commercial Break #2

The trailer soundtrack is “White Rabbit” by Jefferson Airplane. The time markings correspond with the song.

(0:00)

ALPHA PICTURES

HOLLYWOOD ANIMATION STUDIOS

(0:04)

We’re flung into the cold reaches of space, with nothing but stars flying right past us, as we begin to focus on a large spacecraft with a logo featuring a red fox with wings emblazoned on it’s fin.

(0:09)

We cut to Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad and Peppy Hare running down a long hallway illuminated by flashing lights in slow-motion.

Then we cut to Slippy sitting in front of a computer, the light reflecting off his face.

Slippy: Computer has a message from...General Pepper. Priority one.

Fox, Falco and Lombardi look on. Fox bows his head.

(0:27)

FROM THE STUDIO THAT BROUGHT YOU

AMULET

We focus on Fox running.

General Pepper (V.O.): Last night, one of our research bases on Macbeth was destroyed.

We see a large black aircraft floating above a base being destroyed. Inside, numerous researchers and military personnel fall backward as the base is blown up before their eyes, barely engulfed by the flames.

Pepper (V.O.): I fear Andross has returned.

We cut to Andross, dressed in a crimson poncho, looking over the barren, dark landscape of Venom with some kind of vented respirator mask covering his mouth.

Then, we cut to Pepper talking to Fox in a darkened bar.

Pepper: I need your help.

Fox: Why?

Pepper: Because you’re the only four I know that can do the job.

(0:45)

COMES

A NEW ADVENTURE

Cut to Fox looking into space outside his window on the Great Fox as he puts on his jacket.

Pepper (V.O.): All I need you to do is bring our boy home.

(0:55)

BASED ON THE

LEGENDARY VIDEO GAME SERIES

Cut to Fox talking to Falco.

Fox: I don’t care about military strategy or making money…

Inside the cockpit of their Arwings, the four Star Fox team members begin to boot up the systems by flicking a few knobs and twisting a power knob.

Fox (V.O.): I’m doing this because somebody’s trying to hurt my family again…

Then we see a flashback of a young Fox being lead by his father James McCloud into the Cornerian Flight Academy. Cut to black, and fade back into Fox’s conversation with Falco.

Fox: And I’m gonna do everything I can to hurt him back.

Falco: Works for me. Let’s do this.

(1:13)

We cut back and forth between the four as they prepare to launch.

Peppy: All systems go!

Fox: Alright, let’s rock ‘n roll.

Falco: Everybody ready?

Slippy: Yep, more or less.

Fox: More, or less?

Slippy: Less.

Their Arwings shoot from the Great Fox and fly into the atmosphere of a desert-like planet.

(1:22)

THIS

SUMMER

The Arwings become engaged in a dogfight just about the surface of the desert.

Peppy (V.O.): Ten years ago, I made a promise to your father…

We then flashback to Peppy driving with James on a rainy night. James look determined while Peppy looks unsure and queasy.

Peppy (V.O.): ...that if anything ever happened to him, I’d be there for his son.

(1:31)

PREPARE

We cut to Peppy talking to Fox.

Peppy: Now I’m always on your side, Fox, but I don’t feel so good about this one.

Fox: Well, I don’t know what else to do, Peppy.

(1:40)

TO TAKE FLIGHT

We see a flaming airship crash into an ocean as hundreds of Cornerian citizens watch from the shores.

Fara Phoenix (V.O.): Wolf says there’s going to be war.

Wolf, dressed in a black leather jacket, turning around as we pan over to him and as he fires his gun. Next, we cut to a space battle between four Arwings and four Wolfen fighters.

Fara (V.O.): And we can’t do anything to stop it.

A fox politician gives a speech while a crowd erupts in cheers, and General Pepper is seated next to him.

Wolf (V.O.): These generals and politicians, all they talk about is peace…

On top of a moving train, Wolf and Fox tumble as they fight.

Wolf (V.O.): ...while the rest of us continue to fight for our lives.

Leon is standing over the “camera”. He takes his revolver and opens the chamber. Then, he lifts up the revolver and lets the bullet shells land on the ground.

Wolf (V.O.): Let’s see how much they have to say when their world burns.

(2:06)

The cast names cut back and forth with footage of their respective characters, switching with every beat.

WYATT RUSSELL

Fox looks up at someone firmly.

WINSTON DUKE

Falco gives someone a thumbs-up with a smirk while piloting an Arwing.

JIMMY O. YANG

Slippy wipes sweat off his forehead as he fixes some kind of device.

BOB ODENKIRK

Peppy looks through a doorway with sadness in his eyes, with a small streak of light over his face.

BRIAN TYREE HENRY

Wolf looks down at someone, showing his teeth as he lets out a chuckle.

JESSE PLEMONS

Leon, seated in his cockpit, fires at an enemy spacecraft with an emotionless yet menacing expression.

DOUGLAS HODGE

Pigma Dengar (Hodge) is seated in a leather chair, smoking a cigar.

AMANDA CREW

Fara stands beside her Arwing.

WITH

JAMES CROMWELL

Pepper stands behind a podium, smiling in front of a large crowd of people.

AND

KYLE MACLACHLAN

Andross looks down at his arm as his blood vessels begin to glow.

Finally, we see one last dogfight as an Arwing and an enemy spacecraft fire back at each other above an ocean. The Arwing successfully destroys its enemy, and the Arwing flies through the ensuing explosion as it cuts to the title card.

"Please welcome to the stage last year’s Academy Award winner for Best Supporting Actor, Jason Isaacs!"

Isaacs: Tonight, I am pleased to honor the five extraordinary actresses that gave some of the most memorable, shocking, and heartfelt performances this year who captured the attention of audiences everywhere:

From a famous latina actress who grows close with her current film’s editor, a Journalism professor at odds with one of her students, a queen of a Greek city-state whose hope in her king returning slowly diminishes by the day, a mythological goddess determined to return said king home, and a conniving royal advisor to a selfish king hungry for dominance and power.

Isaacs: Here are the nominees for Best Supporting Actress:

Spoiler

Salma Hayek as Veronica Salazar in Resonance

Spoiler

Lena Headey as Athena in The Odyssey: Homecoming

Spoiler

Lisa Kudrow as Dr. Marcia Young in By The Balls

Spoiler

Michelle Pfeiffer as Yzma in Kingdom of the Sun

Spoiler

Kate Winslet as Penelope in The Odyssey: Homecoming

Isaacs: And the Oscar goes to…

Spoiler

Isaacs: The Queen of Ithaca herself…

Kate Winslet for The Odyssey: Homecoming

Winslet: Oh my goodness, thank you so much for this tremendous honor. I’d like to thank Matt Reeves for his incredible vision and tremendous talent. You’ve truly made something special Matt, and I wish you luck in all your future endeavors. I’d also like to thank my screen husband Hugh and my screen son Dacre for being two of the best co-workers someone could ask for. You two guys are like family to me. One of the main themes of this whole trilogy is the one of self-perseverance in the face of adversity and I believe that is true in all aspects of life. Even in the face of defeat, Odysseus never gave up in returning home to the ones who mattered the most to him: his wife, his son, his people. I think that is such a inspirational message to include in a film like this. It’s certainly something I believe anyone in life should have: the will to keep on fighting towards the things that matter the most to you, even if all the odds are stacked against you. Thank you.

Spoiler

(36) Salma Hayek, Resonance as Veronica Salazar

(32) Lena Headey, The Odyssey: Homecoming as Athena

(21) Lisa Kudrow, By The Balls as Dr. Marcia Young

(34) Michelle Pfeiffer, Kingdom of the Sun as Yzma

(42) Kate Winslet, The Odyssey: Homecoming as Penelope

Imagine if we had a CAYOM MTV Awards with a 'Best Kiss' and 'Best OMG! Moment' Category.

Here they're adding them to the real-life Oscars next year along with 'Best Popular Film'.

"Please welcome to the stage last year’s winners of Best Voice Actor/Actress in a Leading Role, David Tennant and Letitia Wright!"

Tennant: Technically, I’d say she was the winner last year.

Wright: We played rock, paper, scissors to decide who would be the true winner after the ceremony.

Tennant: I thought we were playing rock, paper, scissors, shoe! I picked the shoe.

Wright: Wow, no wonder you lost.

Tennant: :whosad:

Wright: Well, Cookie Pictures got an extra Oscar out of it so who’s complaining?

Tennant: Eh, you’re not wrong.

Wright: Anyways, we are here to exemplify the actors and actresses who gave memorable turns in this years acclaimed animated and live-action productions, using nothing but their voice, and in some cases mo-cap, to capture their raw emotion.

Tennant: Here are the nominees for Best Voice Actor/Actress in a Supporting Role:
