That’s an expected drop for Spider Man considering it played a bit older than usual for an animated film. Not the dreaded 80% they usually fall.

No idea what that new release is, never heard of it.

It's the Peter Jackson WW1 doc

It's fantastic and very emotional. It was on BBC2 last month.

Back from what? You have to stop with this silly narrative.

Back from the travesty that was The Hobbit movies and The Lovely Bones. Also, PJ just wrote and produced (and if you ask me, probably ghost-directed) one of the worst blockbusters all year and that movie released last week. It's quite funny that he was attached to one of the worst and one of the best films of the year and they both released with a week.

Ah yes, the $3 billion Hobbit travesty. That is exactly the silly narrative some people are trying very hard to push here.

I mean they were all carried by brand name and nostalgia for the LOTR movies. Same reason why the prequels made so much money. Quality wise, they were all a travesty.

Back into the awards game. Boxoffice helps. he could win Best Documentary. he has reviews and now boxoffice. That's huge.

Well They Shall Not Grow Old was apparently ineligible for the Oscars but it will probably win various awards.

At a time when Potter spin-off is floundering/under-performing one can doubly appreciate the consistency and formidable boxoffice performance of the LOTR spin-offs.
