passerby
Most stunningly beautiful Pixar shot? Come on Unkrich, you can't leave us hanging! My guess is either the good dinosaur or finding dory. https://twitter.com/leeunkrich/status/616004962477195265

grey ghost
Most stunningly beautiful Pixar shot? Come on Unkrich, you can't leave us hanging! My guess is either the good dinosaur or finding dory. https://twitter.com/leeunkrich/status/616004962477195265 It has to be Finding Dory. Finding Nemo was sensory overload and they'll just amp things up for the sequel.
MovieMan89
Judging from that teaser trailer, I would think he's have to be referring to Dory.
mahnamahna
Probably a lower chance of also taking #1 on its sixth, though. But that would be amazing if it happened. Umm Good Dinosaur isn't doing $30 million+ its 6th weekend even with super legs I'd love to see it do $300 million+ DOM. But $6-8 million is far more likely. Maybe $10-12 million Star Wars 7 is locked to win New Year's. everything else will cannibalize each other

mahnamahna
Every time Pixar makes a hit movie, Dreamworks Animation dies a little inside. Katzenberg over saturating the market did them in Pixar's taken 20 years to release two films in a single calendar year. DreamWorks has done it since 1998
shayhiri
I already hate this movie. Poor copy of The Croods genius.

Spidey Freak
Lol the real article: http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/movies/2015/07/05/sneak-peek-sanjays-super-team-pixar-good-dinosaur/29592193/ Love Patel's aesthetics. The more I read about this short, the more convinced I am that it could have made for a great full length. There is so much going on in terms of themes, visuals and concepts. And it is so different from the usual studio animation fare.
AniNate
Sanjay's Super Team SDCC panel report https://www.yahoo.com/movies/sanjays-super-team-the-new-pixar-short-unlike-123683081302.html May want to avoid if you don't want to be spoiled on the film's themes and production design
Ezen Baklattan
I'm honestly more excited for this short than the actual movie. It sounds totally nuts.
Empire
Everything I hear about the short just increases my excitement for it! Makes me happy after how lame Lava was!
Spidey Freak
Seems like Sanjay Patel was incredibly nervous in assuming directing duties. Otherwise there is enough potential in that short to be a full-fledged movie. It has got all the quintessential Pixar ingredients (including an Incredibles-esque superhero flair) in addition to the novelty of focusing on a minority family and how their unique customs and culture affect their personal relationships. Oh well, kudos to Lasseter and his dad for pushing him. Chances of Best Animated Short victory looking good.
goldenstate5
Worth noting this short is getting it's very own Art Of book by itself, the first for a Pixar short.

AniNate
Maybe it'll be like a 9 situation where a director eventually makes a feature of his premise after doing a short (only this time with satisfactory financial backing)
goldenstate5
...and hopefully actually good? But I doubt it due to Incredibles 2. Disney will try poo-poo-ing it since the concepts are too similar. (Big Hero 6 was helped being based in Marvel and having the WDAS brand instead of Pixar) I'm sure the dude will snag a film fairly quickly, here's hoping he doesn't Gary Rydstrom it.
