grim22
Just noticed something insane. In cineworld, The Hobbit is losing IMAX screenings! To Dhoom 3! Should we be paying closer attention to this bollywood film?! Dhoom 3 was converted to IMAX and is the first Bollywood movie to be done in that format. YRF has a tie-up with IMAX as well. Not surprising that it would be pushed in the IMAX format in the UK as well. It will be a big big opening for sure. It may or may not hit Chennai Express numbers overseas though. HAHAHA I'm probably doing a 30 mile trip to see it on boxing day as it only has one show near me. Gives me something to do I guess.

SchumacherFTW
Neither film going to do well, Harry Hill mugt do okay but Frozen is going to rule as the top family film. I can see Harry Hill failing to crack £750,000 this weekend. I know lots of people who anticipated crap like Keith Lemon, and people that loved TV Burp, but no one wants to see this. Hopefully this will show once and for all that The Inbetweeners success was the exception, not the rule.
Heretic
Yeah, the only opener really of note is Anchorman. Speaking of which, it opens today, on orange Wednesday. Think it can manage a good £1.5-2m OD.
JCS
Yeah, it should match American Reunion 5-day OW really.
Heretic
Just sat down to watch Frozen, and the cinema is about 80% full. Pretty impressive for a school day. Weekdays will probably increase on last week as schools start to break up.
CJohn
Is school still on? Kids are out of school since Monday here. Free Birds and Frozen are selling like crazy today.
Heretic
Most still are. Private schools and a few others have finished I think.

SchumacherFTW
Disgusting that Die Hard made so much. We've had a seriously strong year this year I think, even with Skyfall about to kill how close it really was.10 films over £25m is brilliant, with Frozen and the Hobbit sure to jointhe club! LexJoker
Man of Steel did really good in UK compared to other European markets. Any reason why?
SchumacherFTW
It's legs weren't great for the UK. Only a 2.5x multiplier

Heretic
Frozen I think could hit £30m with the holidays, and CF should manage £35m.
Films
That Awkward Moment and Out Of The Furnace both move forward to 29 January which now leaves three wide releases for that Wednesday. Nymphomanic Part 1 moves forward to February 21 while the past moves back a week to 28 March. Annoyingly I believe, the muppets and rio 2 have both been pushed back 1 week to 28 march and 4 april. Calvary is out 11 April. Dolphin Tale 2 out 17 October. I think Exodus has moved forward a week to 5 December and also on that date is Get Santa from WB [don't know what this is or about]. Just quickly, Vue have Foxcatcher dated as 17 January, is it being released then? and Are Home and Happy Smekday the same film as they have different dates though I thought they were the same film?
