Heretic
Vue Westfield sold out 3 showings already for Wolf tonight, 2 others very close. This is gonna absolutely blow Django's opening out of the water. £4-5m, maybe more, I say. Edited January 17, 2014 by Heretic
Heretic
They've added another showing at 9:45, which makes 2 extra showtimes so far. At this cinema at least it's behaving like a blockbuster film. Edited January 17, 2014 by Heretic
SchumacherFTW
I love that we're the complete opposite of the US in January. It's always fascinating at the box office here.
CJohn
I love that we're the complete opposite of the US in January. It's always fascinating at the box office here. All Europe is pretty much like this.
Jonwo
I knew Wolf would do well but not this well, its probably difficult to add any showings later than 2230 due the length but that'll boost he earlier showings.
Heretic
Interested to see what it'll gross today. £1m+ is pretty much guaranteed I think, I wonder if it can do over £1.5m. Tomorrow will be bigger due to more daytime business. Hopefully Rth will give us some numbers later. Heretic
Only showing left at Vue Islington is the 11pm one. Every other show completely sold out.
Jonwo
I imagine this will be the top grossing OW for a 18 rated film since Hannibal, I love that we're the complete opposite of the US in January. It's always fascinating at the box office here.Studios wisely spread out Oscar hopefuls to January rather than Christmas so it pays off. We've seen it with Les Mis, Django, Kings Speech, Black Swan etc even War Horse and The Artist did decently. August Osage County next week should do okay although it has competition from Jack Ryan
