Wow turned out to be another great weekend for Mario, and another bank holiday coming up this week. Will ease past £50m and has a chance at £60m, which would be 3rd biggest animated film ever behind Toy Story 3 and 4. Incredibles 2 currently in 3rd place with £56.2m.

The evening IMAX on the 8th near me has sold 3 tickets and the standard 2D showing has sold 5 so far…so yeah…

Mad Men Not Great Bob GIF

14 tickets at the main evening showing at my local.

They’re being annoying with making most of the prime time evening showings 3D though.

IMAX is 2D at 2pm, 5pm and 11pm, but the 8pm is 3D. Urgh. They’ve made 3 of the other 5 evening shows 3D as well. That’s probably more on Cineworld than Paramount though.

Also, GOTG3 is a lot busier on Friday than it is tomorrow or Thursday. Tomorrows IMAX evening showing has filled up pretty well now though.

Wed release for MCU movies in U.K isn´t normal if I recall correct?

I assume PS2 had a higher PTA than Harold Fry. The latter is cat nip for older audience.

It's quite pleasing how many films have done £10m+ this year, cinema is looking healthy this year.

UK provided as £10M two decades ago (i.e 20th Century ~ Pokemon: The First Movie)

Harold Fry did another £301k on Monday, so up to £1.06m.

For some reason, Screen Daily didn’t include PS2 in either its chart or write-up.

SD charts incl. Holiday Monday. PS2 Distributor probably hasn't communicated Monday Numbers. Perhaps, missed the chart.

It used to be the case that we’d get them a day or so before the US, don’t think it’s happened since Black Widow though.

Was a week pre Black Panther generally. They used to take advantage of the may bank holiday around the world before the first Friday of May release in the US.

Tonight has filled up really well for GOTG3 for the two 6pm shows, the two 7pm shows and the 8pm one.
