5 or 4? BFI has 1.8M before FSS, I thought they were THU only.

Fallout was a 5 day release, Rogue Nation was four days.

Yes, Jonwo is correct. Rogue Nation had a £5.4m 4 day opening.

Saturday was £2.8m for Dead Reckoning (£8.53m to date).

Rest of the top 5 on Saturday

Elemental £1.19m (down from £1.23m last Saturday)

Indiana Jones £788k

Insidious £620k

Spider-Verse £320k

Thanks for these. Strong for Insidious as well. Seeing that in an hour.

Barbie has the potential to be the biggest film in quite some time that has barely any PLFs

It is getting one SuperScreen showing from Oppenheimer and 3 of the VIP showings.

Oppenheimer 3 SuperScreen and 1 VIP.

Oppenheimer all IMAX though.

Mission Impossible 7 £6.3m £10.4m

Elemental £2.5m £6.6m (-16%)

Indiana Jones £1.8m £16.3m (-42%)

Insidious £1.5m £5.1m (-34%)

Spider Verse £697k £28.9m (-29%)

Franchise records (3 day and total start) for MI7. Each film has increased on the previous.

£7.2m would give Insidious 5 the franchise best.

Best overall weekend since GOTG3.

£6.3m pure OW is really good, it didn't do badly during the week but I think most people waited until the weekend. Does make me wonder how it would have done on a purely three day opening though.

Elemental doing great guns, does prove Disney's decision to hold back the UK by a few weeks was a good one. Indiana Jones fared okay considering Mission Impossible is direct competition.

This Weekend feels like it's going to be one of the best for cinemas in a loooooong time. Oppenheimer is crazy here in London, Barbie is crazy everywhere, Mission Impossible is doing great, Elemental is looking strong, this will set the cinemas up for a great summer holiday. Love it!

I find it amusing that Ruby Gillman was flat out rejected everywhere. In a more family starved year, it would have done better but clearly families have lots of choice.

Universal's not hurting though, with Mario there.

Crazy that Ruby Gillman is the sacrificial lamb Universal had to kill for Nolan's Oppenheimer demands.

Barbie pre sales are looking insane everywhere. It’s going to be absolutely huge. £15m+ opening weekend I’m thinking, and wouldn’t be surprised if it was higher.

IMAX/PLF sales for Oppenheimer are also some of the craziest I’ve seen. BFI IMAX/Odeon Leicester Square sales are just nuts. Surely at least £6-7m opening. Legs will be very long on this one given the limited capacity for premium screens.

One of the biggest and most exciting weekends coming up for sure!

It’s going to be big! They added in another 3 showings overnight here too.

I had a look at Saturday as well, it’s busy. It’s definitely busier in the evening and at night both days. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t have a huge family film style Saturday bump on its first weekend.

8 sell outs at my local on Friday for Barbie now. Eight!

And there are another two or three that are close to it. The daytime showings have really filled out now.
