Heretic
And I don't think The Imossible would have grossed enough in its first 6 days to claim the top spot. The Hobbit is doing around £4m.

Heretic
I'm lucky, back at college tomorrow but a 2:10 start. But on tuesday I have to be up at 06:15!!! I think it's more likely than not I actually wake up when school finishes tomorrow. I've been going to sleep at like 4am all holiday and I'm expected to wake up at 6:30am tomorrow? NO WAY NO HOW. Jonwo
I think it'll be close but The Impossible has done incredibly well and I would consider the subject matter not an easy matter, It's heading for a £10m+ total but it depend on how it fares with the huge amount of competition in the coming weeks. Jonwo
The Impossible has done well, I imagine Pi was second when previews are stripped out but £4m six days is great.
JCS
Life of Pi could follow similar Oscar-contender Slumdog Millionaire which ended up with £31.7M but only £10.2M after 3 weekends.£30M+ easily possible for Pi as WOM spreads and awards buzz ramps up. JCS
I have never heard of such a bizarre release schedule in the UK as Texas Chainsaw 3D... ...at more than 200 UK cinemas on Friday and Saturday, Texas Chainsaw 3D is missing in action from official figures over here. That's because those Friday and Saturday showings were technically previews, even though the film is retaining a regular presence in the market at London's Empire Leicester Square. The horror picture plays wide again from Wednesday. Edited January 8, 2013 by JCS
