fmpro
The Avengers is looking very strong today.Yesterday was obviously a school/work day, so business during the day can't have been amazing. Today though, it is. Afternoon shows are looking full and tonight should match Friday's night business. What are your increase guesstimate?? Heretic
What are your increase guesstimate??Well, Friday increased around 33%, and that was another school day. With the help of stronger day business, maybe 35-40% for £4.5-4.7m. That's over $7m. I'd like to stay conservative and say around £4.2m. Heretic
The Hobbit will win I think. ROTK made over £60m in 2003. It also opened to over £15m with no 3D or anything. The Hobbit could do over £70m, and the opening will likely be one of the biggest of all time. Skyfall will have a HUGE opening too. Prob over £15m, but will gross around £50-55m in total.

Heretic
What did you think? I'm seeing it tonight.
SchumacherFTW
It's something else. Pretty overwhelming visually when it reaches the climax. Next IMAX show in 20 mins has sold out, and i'd put money on the 20:30 going too.
Heretic
Great to hear. My IMAX is sold out all night. The show they added at 23:10 is half full, but I imagine it'll sell-out tonight. That's almost unheard of for a film to sell out that late.
SchumacherFTW
IMAX is a different beast compared to normal sell outs though really.
Heretic
True, but normal sell-outs have been amazing too.Just came back. OMFG. Amazing, Lived up to the hype. And my God, was it funny as hell! My cinema was absolutely rammed tonight. I have never seen it that busy. Ever. I queued like 20 minutes just to get ticket.
